Assistant Manager, Paint & Body Shop

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

The Assistant Manager, Paint & Body Shop is responsible for assisting the Paint & Body Shop Manager in operating an efficient and profitable department, through productive staffing, customer growth and retention, cost controls, achievement of objectives, and maintenance of all service records.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the department in the absence of the Manager; conducting field work in a workshop environment with inspection of vehicles,  distribution of materials and general preparation of vehicles for delivery as required.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • At least three (3) years’ experience in a similar capacity
  • Previous experience in an Automotive Industry
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills
  • A Bachelor’s Degree would be an asset
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software
  • Strong administrative, communication and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • High level of enthusiasm, professionalism and ethical standards
  • A roll-up-your-sleeves attitude, sense of empathy, and passion for your work are essential in this role

The successful candidate must be self-motivated, and assertive. Must be energetic and detail oriented with the ability to consistently meet deadlines.  Must have a positive attitude, a willingness to learn and a methodical work ethic.  He/she must be pleasant, presentable, well spoken, and highly organized.
