From Kelley Blue Book: It's the end of the line for Mitsubishi's Evolution series of high performance sedans based on its compact Lancer. The Japanese automaker says the 2015 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution GSR is the final installment of its rally-inspired all-wheel-drive turbocharged asphalt burner that is lionized in The Fast and the Furious movies and videogames like Forza and Gran Turismo.
The last Evo doesn't disappoint. It blends old school simplicity with a purposeful design that includes large heat extractors on the hood and a tall rear wing. And yet the overall effect is not over-the-top as our test car is painted in a somewhat subdued Mercury Gray metallic and has an equally low key black interior with cloth seats. Inside, the impression of old meeting new school is further reinforced by the tasteful [...]
From AdWeek. For all of Kim McCullough's childhood memories, two remain especially strong. The first was spending her allowance money on Matchbox cars. The other was watching in awe as her father (an advertising exec at the legendary DDB) pulled into the driveway in a succession of Porsches, Audis and other client rides. "The love of cars seems to be part of my genetic makeup," McCullough says. "From as early as I can recall, I just thought they were so cool."
McCullough would go on to have a 20-year career in automotive marketing. In September 2014, she was tapped to be the marketing lead for Jaguar, adding to her duties with corporate sibling Land Rover. After all, the U.K. auto brand was the maker of classics like the XK and the E-Type, and sexy newcomers like the XE and the F-Type. James Bond drove a Jag. So did Jackie Stewart and [...]

Posted on fastcocreate.com. Mercedes-Benz has launched a new commercial based on the simple insight that some people like to crash cars (kids) whereas others (drivers) do not.
Anyone who has watched kids play with toy cars knows that the number-one thing they do is crash them into each other, usually repeatedly with screeching sound effects. What would happen if they were given cars that were impossible to crash? A whole lot of frustration, that’s what.

THE CHEVROLET Cruze, sold locally at Simpson Motors, is among an impressive eight (8) 2014 Chevrolet vehicle models to receive the highest possible Overall Vehicle Score for Safety from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
This is the most 5-Star Overall Vehicle Scores of any automotive brand for 2014, which demonstrates further that Chevrolet puts safety first.
Simpson Motors’ Chevrolet sales manager, Bruce Wilkie, explained that the NHTSA has been testing vehicles for safety since 1978 and in 2011 added an Overall Vehicle Score, as well as revised their testing to be more stringent.
He added that the comprehensive NHTSA New Car Assessment Programme (NCAP) puts vehicles through frontal, side-impact and side pole crash tests, as well as rollover evaluations after which, each model is then given safety ratings from one to five stars.
